This article is very misleading. Diabetics need carbohydrates such as potatoes and all vegetable intake should be increased to bulk out regular meals. Avoiding obvious high sugar and processed fat products is the basic advice but portion control and a healthy balance is the real key. It's anything in moderation after that.
So many restrictions! what does a person with diabetes eat?
You're being too general. Type One and Type Two usually follow different diet plans. And as Neal UK said, diabetics DO need carbohydrates, they just need to be controlled.
I,thaks for the information.I have type 2 diabetes and from now on I will keep to your advice.
What's left to eat? I've given up many things that I love so far, and I'm not willing to do this. Maybe we could just dring Crystal Light -- oh, wait -- can't do that -- artifical sweeteners. Absurd. I'm a cook, and I cook light in fats, sodium and sugar, and it's not easy. That's it for me. If I die, at least I'll go with a satisfied smile on my face. I'm willing to take the change.
"Fruits such as mango, grapes, custard apple, strawberry" - awww.. I love strawberries! But life has to change.
I like your list. I would consider myself to be a "bad diabetic." I have had type 1 diabetes for a long time and it's helpful to see the things I could improve on in a list. Thank you very much.
Fruit juices are one of the greatest pitfalls for diabetics - it seems harmless until you check and see your sugar levels have just went sky high
Very good article indeed but I have heard that cheeses are good source of proteins for diabetic people?
First time I've ever seen someone saying "dont eat avocados" Gotta disagree with you on that one. I credit oatmeal and avocados for turning my life around. I eat avocado on almost everything, literally 2-3 of them a day. I have transformed myself into 195 lbs of muscle and maintain BS levels (used to average in the mid 300s, or higher)
What on earth can we eat??!!!! Is there anything left?
This article seems to leave only water for diabetics to eat. It's so unrealistic.
nice
After reading this article on diabetis for me it looks like there is nothing left for the patient to eat everything has
to be avoided. It will take you soon to the grave ha ha ha!!!!
yo guys i been diabetic like 2 years i know when my sugar is going down or up any way i mean the diabetic person he/she should to have a good control for their sugar blood and they need to be normal all the time for any question am here
So that is all we have to avoid huh? Just take me out behind the barn and put me out of my misery.
there are a lot of things i don't understand years ago diabetics were told to limit potatoes and bread as they turn into glucose when eaten now they are saying eat them i can't see that they sudenly have stopped turning into glucose. My partner has recently been diagnosed and he was given these sheets and underneath it says why only the sugary things appeared to be to do with diabetes the rest said it avoids high colestrol or its good for the heart etc etc it would appear that while they have got you they want to control your diet for the good of your overall health and hope that you wont notice
God rewards U Dr. For ur kindness.
